Kanye told MTV News that he isn’t moving his release date, and that he’s looking forward to facing off against Curtis on September 11.

"I’d rather come out on a day like that, up against 50 — where people are excited about going to the stores and it’s an event and people talk about it — and be #2 on that day rather than come out and be #1 on a day nobody cares about," West said.

Also note that the 11 will be the 6th anniversary of Jay-Z’s The Blueprint, which was arguably the most important album in Kanye’s career as a producer.
